Damonte made too many mistakes in the loss to Truckee, and this game is a chance for both teams to take a step in the right direction. Douglas has confidence, they are averaging 29 points per game while allowing 3. Damonte will score more than 3 points, but can they score enough to outlast Douglas? Damonte wins a close one at home

This is an old rivalry with two schools that share a zoning line and are only a few
minutes apart on McCarran if you hit the lights right (which no one does). Hug comes in 1-2 with a win over Sparks and losses to Damonte and Lowry. Reed is 2-1, with wins over Faith Lutheran and Churchill County, their loss was at Del Oro, ranked number 47 in California. The win over Faith Lutheran was impressive, Reed is a threat to win the North this season

Galena Grizzlies @ Bishop Manogue Miners
Galena is much improved and will seek to prove they can play with anyone this week as they make the short trip to Bishop Manogue’s south Reno campus. Manogue comes in 0-2 after a difficult non-conference schedule. Galena is 1-2 with losses to Churchill County
and Yuba City (CA); they defeated Spring Creek to open the season. Last year, Manogue opened the season 0-2, then went on to win the North. Manogue schedules difficult early games to identify areas that need improvement before they hit league play, and it has worked well for them. This first game against a Northern Nevada opponent will get Manogue in the win column, Manogue should establish control of this one early
