Doc’s Prognosis: The Game of The Week in The Northern 3A sees The Spring Creek Spartans travel to Fernley to take on The Vaqueros in a matchup with early season playoff implications as both squads only have one loss to date. The Spartans will look to get past last week’s 22-14 loss against Truckee (Calif.) while Fernley will look to pound the rock as they come into the game averaging 336.2 yards per game on the ground with RB Keeshawn Love averaging 197.6 yards per game. With a 212 yard effort Tonight Love will go into next weeks showdown against Truckee averaging 200 yards per game.

Doc’s Prognosis: This game is going to be a fun one… if you aren’t listening to my broadcast on NFHS Network via Tahoe Truckee Media then I’d suggest you get out to Foster Field and watch these two squads duke it out. I expect this game to be high scoring and it’ll be electric. Expect great QB Play and explosive playmakers will fill the field throughout. Don’t be surprised if this game turns into a track meet.
