2024-25 NIAA Northern 3A East All League - Girls
Corrected with no typos and stats included for transparency.
These selections were made by the league's coaches at the conclusion of the regular season.
Player of the Year - Britain Backus, Lowry, Senior
Backus, the 5-foot-7 dynamo, was dominant this season for the Lowry Buckaroos. She averaged 28.5 PPG to go along with 5.5 RPG, and 5.2 SPG. She was this area's version of Caitlin Clark. In fact, she was responsible for 53.5 percent of the Bucks overall points on the season - also averaging two assists per game bringing her total 'point' production to around 60-percent of the Bucks overall scoring. The two-time state champion was named 3A Northern Player of the Year for the East and she will be headed to Nevada to play for the Wolf Pack beginning in the 2025-2026 season. My guess is that she'll start as an underclassman for the Pack.
Coach of the Year - Kevin Wickware, Churchill County
Coach Wickware and the Greenwave finished the season 23-7 overall including a 9-1 mark during league play - with their only loss coming to Backus' Lowry Buckaroos at home in early January. The Greenwave also had a 12-game winning streak this season to go along with 3A North League Champions in the East, and Regional Champions in the Northern 3A.

2024-25 NIAA Northern 3A West All League - Girls
Corrected with no typos and stats included for transparency.
These selections were made by the league's coaches at the conclusion of the regular season.
Player of the Year - Ivy Williams, North Valleys, Junior
Remember the name Ivy Williams. For the second season in a row Williams has filled it up for the Panthers on the hardwood. Only a junior Williams still has plenty of accomplishments on her resume, back-to-back player of the year and three consecutive league championships. Her biggest accomplishments will most likely come next season as she is only 377 points away from being in the top twenty in NIAA history for Girls BB Career Points. Need more proof that she is one of the best female basketball players to ever step foot on a court in the Silver State? She also finds herself only 12 rebounds away from the top twenty in NIAA history for Girls BB Career Rebounds. Coach Levens and Nevada better offer her a scholarship before it's too late.
Coach of the Year - Zach LeMay, North Valleys
For the third consecutive season Coach LeMay has been named 3A North Coach of the Year for the West. Over the last three seasons Coach LeMay has guided the Panthers to back-to-back-to-back League Championships, compiling an overall record of 64-16 and a winning percentage of 80% while challenging his squad regularly against some of the best teams the state has to offer. His teams have also gone 29-1 in league over the last three seasons rolling up a 96-percent winning percentage in the process. LeMay's squad also had a school record 16-game winning streak this season and they'll look to make their impact in the large class in Northern Nevada once again next season.
